Sarjit Singh is the Executive Chairman of Ardent Associates LLP, the winner of the Best Practice Award at the Singapore Accountancy Awards in 2016. He leads the Risk and Governance practice at Ardent. He has built an extensive career in assurance and advisory services, including 16 years with PricewaterhouseCoopers. Prior to Ardent, Sarjit was the CFO of AIA Singapore and Aviva Asia. He was responsible for formulating and implementing the financial, investment and commercial strategies for AIA Singapore and Avivas diverse businesses in Singapore, Hong Kong and the Asia Pacific region respectively. He has served on various Singapore government appointed committees, including the Committee on the Future Economy (CFE) – Legal and Accounting Services Working Group. Sarjit was conferred the Public Service Star (BBM) in 2011, the Public Service Medal (PBM) in 2007, the Nanyang Alumni Achievement Award in 2012, and the SG50 community accolade in 2015 in recognition of his professional achievements and contributions to the nation.

Mr Germin Ong

Germin Ong is Head of the Strategy & Planning (Industry) department at the Singapore Accountancy Commission (SAC). SAC is a statutory board under the Ministry of Finance that develops Singapores accountancy sector with the vision of developing Singapore into a leading global accountancy hub.

The department focuses on building business capabilities to capture growth opportunities, and developing Singapore into a centre for accountancy thought-leadership. To achieve this, strategies are developed to drive economic and manpower growth, including the promotion of Singapores economic interests internationally. Research and collaborative projects are also undertaken to grow Singapores accountancy knowledge.

Mr Ong holds a Bachelor of Accountancy from Nanyang Technological University and a Master of Science (Management) from the University College Dublin. He is also a Chartered Accountant (Singapore).

Khai Boon is an Executive Director in the Accounting Advisory Services (AAS) line of business in KPMG Singapore.  He has over 12 years of experience in the assurance and advisory field covering the defensesector, electronics sector, investment holding companies and listed entities with global presence.  He has extensive knowledge on SFRS and IFRS and led the implementation of various new accounting standards such as IFRS 15 Revenue from Contracts with Customers through provision of contract review and conducting a series of workshops to both operations team and senior management team. He is also a frequent speaker at external clients’ seminars and KPMG’s public seminars to speak on issues ranging from general accounting updates to specific accounting topics.

Mr Ken Soh

Engineer, AI Singapore

Ken works on AI applications in AI Singapore with a focus on using automation to accelerate and scale digital processes. Prior to joining AI Singapore, Ken founded an open-source company, researching and developing TagUItool out of his Eastern Europe base. He previously held technical and leadership positions in DBS Technology and Operations, HP Enterprise Services, ADP Dealer Services and A*Star Institute for InfocommResearch. Ken is an e_residentof Estonia, a participant of UN Global Compact and a patron of Mastodon open-source social network.

Ms Veronica Tan

Director, IMDA

Veronica leads the Next Gen Platforms team within the Technology & Infrastructure Group in IMDA. Her work revolves around leading technology strategy and developmental efforts in frontier technologies, such as Blockchain, that are relevant to realise Singapore vision to be a digital economy. Previously, she was also with IDA’s Smart Nation Platform team, developing data science and analytics capabilities in support of data-driven decision making.

Veronica graduated from Nanyang Technological University with a Bachelor of Electrical and Electronic Engineering. Before joining IDA, she was a network engineer in the telecommunications industry. She received her Masters of Business Administration from the Manchester Business School in 2014.
